Password protection

Keep a site private behind a password (Pro).

Protect a site so visitors must enter a password before they can see it. Set it from the site's Settings under Access & domains.

How it works

• Visitors see a simple password page. After entering the right password they can view the site, and stay unlocked on that device for 7 days.
• Changing the password locks everyone out again, so they need the new one.
• Wrong guesses are rate limited to slow down guessing.
• It works on your iSelify address and on a custom domain.

Plans

Turning protection on or changing the password needs an active Pro plan. If your plan ends, existing protection stays on so a private site doesn't suddenly become public; you can still remove the password at any time.
